Guru Nanak Gate Campus

In the spirit of reconciliation, Gobind Sarvar School acknowledges that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. We would also like to note that Guru Nanak Gate Campus is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River and the traditional Blackfoot name Mohkinstis, which we now call the City of Calgary. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honor and celebrate this territory. This sacred gathering place provides us with an opportunity to engage in and demonstrate leadership in reconciliation.
